Hey friends..

So last night I goto a party and my friend Laura says something like "Hey! when did you get back!???"

and then I realised something..

last time I updated you all I was kicking around in Japan, most of you probably don't know im back home in Australia..

so I thought I'd keep you up to date with Paul's life (tm) ... first a few pics from the trip you may not have seen yet..

very small in the background on the hill here is the hollywood sign.. hard to see i know. but yeah i did the cheesy hollywood sign while i was there .. hmm.. my teeth look really wrong in this photo..

and here is a photo i took in vancouver, i thought the wine glass was quite interesting, sitting on a graphiti covered bin here a bit of an artistic shot:
and some more artistic shots from around the same area.. "eh class of 79"... Canadian Eh!

Here I like the graffiti covered bin contrasted with the awesome natural scenery.

Getting Personal..

ok... so I thought I would get a bit more personal and show you where I'm living etc... I'm living with my friend Richard in a suburban area called "Girrawheen" In Perth.. its a bit of a 'hood', currently going through a bit of urban renewal, but the house has been renovated so its quite a nice place and I get along well with Richard. I'd like to live a bit closer to the city eventually, but im happy here for now.. here is a photo of the front of the place.. its a 3bedroom duplex. and a pic of me in the living room with the guitar I've been practicing on recently. Recently I've been playing the basic 12 bar blues and 'sonshine of your love'.. I never imagined myself getting so into guitar, but it is really a wonderful instrument.

here is a picture of the kitchen and my laptop..

my bedroom... im still setting everything up... its tricky, a year ago I had a whole 3 bedroom house to myself and now I'm living in one room.. Richard calls it "The Tardis"... (as I have soo much stuff crammed in there (you cant see the whole room from the photo, but there is a desk and a big wardrobe thing. on the top and right of the pic)). I've been getting rid of stuff and still need to get rid of more stuff, crazy how it accumulates when you have a house to yourself!

... And books in my recent Amazon.com shipment.. Currently I'm reading "Healing the Masculine Soul" and next on the list: "Influence" (A marketing book) "Rapid problem solving with post-it notes" (business book), Richard branson's autobiography and "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" (which apparently is a classic)

I stumbled upon this cartoon a few months ago.. classic! reminds me of the kind of things I'd read in mad magazine when I was younger. I love it how hes gone to soo much detail in the comic.

So I went via bathurst towards albury wodonga after staying in the blue mountains...

The bathurst race track is actually a normal road while they arent racing, so there is a 60km per hour speed limit, which is quite quick on some of the corners. I drove my mx5 around the track in both directions, its got some really insane corners to be racing on, fun to drive though.. it was raining part of the time i was driving on the track so i managed to kick the tail out a little whilst coming down the hill. fun stuff. Posted by Picasa
